Marcus Bogdan, Portfolio Manager of the Switzer Dividend Growth Fund (Quoted Managed Fund) recently spoke to Ausbiz about how investors should remain pivoted to defensive quality companies and offshore earners. Post the August reporting season, Marcus says we are in a more challenging environment of slowing earnings momentum. As the COVID-19 pandemic and the spread of the Delta variant continues to impact supply chains, Marcus says investors should look to companies that are able to navigate their way through it. Amcor and Brambles are two examples of resilient companies in the consumer staples industry. Amcor has upgraded its earnings for FY22 and has the ability to pass through higher raw material costs, says Marcus.
